The Analyst Relations/Research Specialist will field and respond to all research requests, proactively monitor and share press pertaining to Acxiom’s industry with key stakeholders, and support our Analyst Relations program. 

This position is part of the Global Marketing Organization.  We are looking for a team player with strong research and communication skills who can be the focal point for research, and work efficiently and effectively across Acxiom.

The Skirball Institute of Biomedical research is currently seeking Research Technicians- Mouse Maintenance for several of our laboratories.  Candidates must have at least 3 years experience overseeing mouse colonies and related duties as noted below.

We are looking for a highly motivated and responsible researcher for the set up and maintenance of a germ-free mouse colony. Previous experience with germ-free colony management is preferred, but not required.  The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a large, interactive laboratory team studying T lymphocyte and lymphoid organ development, epigenetic regulation, and host-pathogen interactions.  The candidate should be able to coordinate mouse breeding programs, genotyping, and phenotyping of selected strains of mice, and must maintain a mouse database.  The candidate should be able to train technicians to assist in breeding and analyzing mutant strains of mice.
 
BS required, MS or Ph.D. preferred, 3+years experience in transgenic mouse technology

The Core Facility is seeking a mouse technician position requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a group setting.  Extensive mouse handling and mouse embryo work is required.  Responsibilities include: dissection, harvesting, mouse embryo culture, microsurgery, mouse embryo microinjection, tailing, husbandry, mouse embryo and sperm cryopreservation, IVF and mouse embryonic stem cell culture.  Detailed recordkeeping and database management skills are essential; occasional weekend work is required.
BS in biological sciences required and prior experience working with mouse maintenance.

The qualified candidate will have the ability to perform a wide variety of technical laboratory procedures to include method development and validation experiments, routine sample preparation, and preparing solutions and reagents. Assists in maintaining lab equipment, supports lab safety, and complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
' Participates in method development, method validation, and sample analysis.
' Performs liquid-liquid, protein precipitation, and solid-phase extractions.
' Works with automated extraction instrumentation.
' Interfaces with Laboratory Operations to request and return study samples.
' Prepares stock and working solutions/standards and QC samples. Aliquots control matrices.
' May use LIMS system to schedule samples, set up and edit work lists (as determined by the Project Leader).
' Weighs reference compounds if respirator-certified.
' Makes and records observations, performs calculations, and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
' Performs pipette maintenance and calibration verification. Assists with trouble-shooting laboratory instrumentation and other maintenance as required.
' May review run binders and notebooks and other project-related documentation at the direction of the Project Leader (excludes validation reports).
' Assists in maintaining adequate supplies.

Provide technical support services and technical governance for food related business activities. Provide technical, client and business line support to the Americas region and global food business line as it relates to technical services, technical support, capacity planning and/or technical governance. Develop and ensure the company's integrity and consistency of test methods. Specifically, the Food Chemist will develop and review SOP's, methods and work instructions, and will exercise standard interpretation practices for the company's food business line. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, provide direction to other lab personnel, and assist in making final technical decisions. Maintain awareness of industry best practices/standards and provide technical expertise to clients and colleagues in areas of analytical analyses, chemistry and consumer products. Share with colleagues and customers through technical opinions, interpretations and recommendations. Serve as liaison between US clients and company's global technical testing facilities. Assist in setting company direction for technical interpretations as applicable per established lab practices.

Minimum BS Degree preferably in Chemistry or related discipline required. At least five plus years of food testing or other relevant experience, regulatory and FDA/USDA experience also required. Possess extensive knowledge of food testing concepts and processes, and demonstrate the ability to implement them. Be familiar with laboratory instrumentation supporting the company's food testing programs and the demonstrated ability to implement them. The successful candidate must have strong client interaction and problem solving skills to effectively foster productive relationships with retailers, vendors, factories and industry leaders. Possess effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver both in-house and external presentations.
